The lounge atmosphere is relaxed and Mary Crawford takes up the harp for some entertainment.
Lady Marjorie stands near the fireplace as Colonel Mustard begins to tell her a tale of one of his Far East adventures. She is enraptured by his words as he punctuates the story with exclamations and grand gestures.
Edmund and Fanny stand at the window for some stargazing. They speak to each other in hushed tones.
Meanwhile, Miss Marple sits in the corner with her knitting. Miss Kallie admires the scarf that is taking shape and asks a few questions about knits and purls.
Miss Marple finds that...
Colonel Mustard is your typical adventurer with a rich military background. Colonel Mustard (his first name in the British version is Michael) continues to practice archery and shooting by going hunting. He’s a dashing and handsome man with a proud demeanor. He loves to challenge people to a duel if they cross him and he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. A bachelor, Colonel Mustard has been smitten by Mrs. Peacock and Miss Scarlet. He is a tough man to accuse, so you had better be right. -Colonel Mustard bio
Out of the corner of your eye you spy: a wrench under the chaise
Things to know about Miss Marple:
--> Miss Jane Marple is an elderly lady who lives in the little English village St. Mary Mead. Superficially stereotypical, she is dressed neatly in tweed and is frequently seen knitting or pulling weeds in her garden.
--> Miss Marple sometimes comes across as confused or "fluffy", but when it comes to solving mysteries, she has a sharp logical mind, and an almost unmatched understanding of human nature with all its weaknesses, strengths, quirks and foibles.

I love Miss Marple and have all the books with her so don't add me in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI recently moved my blog to a new url and would love to welcome you at my new home
Colonel Mustard is handsome indeed, but I find his behaviour quite ambiguous. Better to investigate further...
ReplyDeleteWaiting in the lounge I would stand aside investigating, of course. Miss Marple needs my help (or so I love to think).
Colonel Mustard sounds like a typical British colonel and might be handy when zombies do happen to show up, so I think I'll listen to his stories to see if I can pick up any tips.
ReplyDelete(no need to enter me, I too have all the Marple stories)
Lady Marjorie keeps looking at this handsome gentleman and wonders if he is available

storytelling.
Oh my dear girl !
ReplyDeleteThis is tea time and I would of course be having a cup of tea and nibbling on cucumber sandwiches whilst appearing to be listening to Mary Crawford playing.
Of course I would be wondering about the Colonel and the when my eye spots the wrench, I would immediatly decide to bide my time until every had left, so that I could examine it more closely.

I get lost in the sound of the harp playing, and while everyone slowly gathers, I drift off in a daydream of a SteamPunk Train conductor I knew not so long ago....

I'd stand close to Col. Mustard paying more attention to his behavior than his stories, trying to catch anything unusual.

I'm sipping on a cup of tea while I listen to Colonel Mustard's tale .

I would stir and sip my tea, munching on some buiscuits, peripherically listening to Colonel Mustard's tale, but all the while observing the other persons present in the room.
