Zombie update from: Iowa

Zombies, zombies, everywhere,

And not one human in sight;

Zombies, zombies, everywhere,

No brain, no blood, no bite.

Quiet and still the corn stands,

Painted red as deep as roses -

The field a mess of flesh and limbs,

Putrid even for stuffed noses!

So I built it, here they come,

Moaning, groaning, shuffling slow,

Into the field with no dreams left

Except a hope to watch them blow.

No zombies left, we have survived here

But what else is left to live for?

The world is deadened;

Is this even Heaven?

No, it’s not even Iowa anymore.

- Rescue operations recently located Lost Nation, Iowa, but unfortunately no survivors have been found amid the debris or bodies. Team Epic Rat reported that the city is also devoid of undead activity. “Usually there are still a few zombies present,” lead operative CP stated, “but someone did a clean sweep of the area. The question is ‘where are they now?’ because I am sure they are waiting for us.” The team checked all residential, business, and farming areas for any signs of life. They discovered a lone body in the cornfields outside of town. The young woman appeared to have died of dehydration; she had no identifiable bite marks.

  1. Okay, so we know I'm not a huge zombie fan, but this poem kind of killed me with the hilarious!

  4. I loved it! Especially the snippet at the end..perhaps she was the writer of the poem.

    Maybe reading all this before going to bed isn't such a good idea....

  5. Love the poem.

    @Pabkins- Yes I have to agree with you. I had to leave the house last night and it took all my will power not to scream when I saw a group of people in front of my neighbors house.

  6. Yeah - I has nightmares...the man makes fun of me. He said if I didn't read so much about zombies and talk about them so much that maybe I'd sleep better at night.

    He got two elbows in the face the other night!
