Zombies, zombies, everywhere,
And not one human in sight;
Zombies, zombies, everywhere,
No brain, no blood, no bite.
Quiet and still the corn stands,
Painted red as deep as roses -
The field a mess of flesh and limbs,
Putrid even for stuffed noses!
So I built it, here they come,
Moaning, groaning, shuffling slow,
Into the field with no dreams left
Except a hope to watch them blow.
No zombies left, we have survived here
But what else is left to live for?
The world is deadened;
Is this even Heaven?
No, it’s not even Iowa anymore.
- Rescue operations recently located Lost Nation, Iowa, but unfortunately no survivors have been found amid the debris or bodies. Team Epic Rat reported that the city is also devoid of undead activity. “Usually there are still a few zombies present,” lead operative CP stated, “but someone did a clean sweep of the area. The question is ‘where are they now?’ because I am sure they are waiting for us.” The team checked all residential, business, and farming areas for any signs of life. They discovered a lone body in the cornfields outside of town. The young woman appeared to have died of dehydration; she had no identifiable bite marks.
