a monthly saga
posted on the 7th of each month - until the narwal is found
details here
The search continues for the narwal and stolen treasure...
We find Captain Vix asleep amidst maps littering her quarters as The Rusty Dagger rides the gentle currents of the Red Sea.
Her faithful Goliath is on his perch also dozing.
And the crew...
Giada is at the helm.
Audra is in the crow's nest scanning the seas.
Freda coils some ropes.
Jo checks the rigging.
AimeeKay is reading a book in a hammock.
Kulsuma follows the scent of breakfast and walks towards the galley.
Sullivan is in the galley brewing coffee for the crew.
The Red Sea (alternatively "Arabian Gulf") is a seawater inlet of the Indian Ocean, lying between Africa and Asia. The connection to the ocean is in the south through the Bab el Mandeb strait and the Gulf of Aden. In the north, there is the Sinai Peninsula, the Gulf of Aqaba, and the Gulf of Suez (leading to the Suez Canal).
- The sea is the habitat of over 1,000 invertebrate species, and 200 soft and hard corals. It is the world's northernmost tropical sea.
- During the Middle Ages, the Red Sea was an important part of the Spice trade route.

Cap'n, get the Cap'n Audra exclaims.
Incoming messenger
Jo rings the warning bell.
Upon hearing the bell, Captain Vix jumps to attention. She hurries to the deck with Goliath upon her shoulder.
Cap'n a messenger is headed this way starboard Audra announces as she continues to look through the spyglass.
Captain Vix paces the deck as a speck in the sky makes its way closer and closer to The Rusty Dagger.
After the messenger lands on a nearby railing, Captain Vix handles it with care while removing a note from its carrier compartment. She sets the messenger back atop the railing and reads the note.
HARD ABOUT she orders.
The messenger's claws dig into the wooden railing of the boat as the crew works The Rusty Dagger about.
Cap'n? Sullivan hands over a biscuit and coffee.
Thank ye, Sullivan. She takes a sip of coffee and turns to the crew.
Giada, lay in a course for Yanbu. This message is from Triton's Tavern. There has been a sighting of the narwal.
Cap'n, I must warn ye Kulsuma interrupts.
Aye, 'tis true...
BLAST!
Me precious treasure is too close at hand Captain Vix replies.
WE GO FORTH!
cawwwwwwwww says Goliath.
Mayhaps me trident can be o' use Freda whispers to Jo.
Aye, and me harpoon Sullivan chimes in.
AimeeKay falls out of the hammock. Her book plonks onto the deck next to her, Kraken's Mirror by Maureen Betita.
Looks like ye can tell us a thing or two about the kraken, AimeeKay? Captain Vix raises an eyebrow as she retrieves the book.
Aye, cap'n. I can have a report for you on Saturday, May 14, AimeeKay answers.
Make it so.
