(a weekly post where I create fashionable wear with book cover art)

The Plight of the Darcy Brothers
Pride and Prejudice Continues
A Tale of the Darcys and the Bingleys
(2nd in a series)
by Marsha Altman

Released: August 2009

Description from amazon.com:
In this lively second installment, the Darcys and Bingleys are plunged into married life and its many accompanying challenges presented by family and friends.

With Jane and Elizabeth away, Darcy and Bingley take on the daunting task of managing their two-year- old children. Mary Bennet returns from the Continent pregnant by an Italian student promised to the church; Darcy and Elizabeth travel to find the father, and discover previously unknown—and shocking—Darcy relations. By the time Darcy discovers that there's more than one sibling of questionable birth in the family, the ever-dastardly Wickham arrives on the scene to try to seize the Darcy fortune once and for all.

I want this book.
But I should probably read book 1 first, eh?

  1. I LOVE the dress. Very chic and creative. Nice meme.
I'll have to think on your title for awhile... I love the great escape one, though. :)

  2. I would like: The Darcys & the Bingleys, because I like to start with nr 1 of the (crazy?) series.
    ;o)

A title for nr 4: Why... did they do that, Mr. Darcy?

    Don't ask, I've no idea.
    ;o)

  3. I would like the first book. These books sounds great.

For the title nr. 4: Mr. Bingley's past

(the book series are The Darcys&the Bingley's and I would love to know something more about Mr Bingley. He is this honest, great guy but I would write a secret, maybe dark, past to him)

  4. I would like the Plight of the Darcy Brothers.
As for a title, how about taking it state side with Mr. Darcy Takes Manhattan :)

  5. If I were to make a title for the 4th book, I'd maybe work in the Napoleonic wars, as the 3rd book is set during that time. So maybe the title could be:

Mr. Darcy's Quest - Darcy is drafted into the army due to circumstances out of his control. Somehow he ends up in the field of battle, far from his beloved Elizabeth. As a military leader he must win the Battle of the XYZ (fill in title here) and somehow make it back to Elizabeth with his life intact.

If I win, I'd like The Darcys & the Bingleys, as I haven't started the series yet (but would love to!).

Thanks for the chance to enter!

  6. If I were to win The Darcys and the Bingleys would be my choice.
I too would be interested in a look into the seemingly perfect Bingley; perhaps he has a love-child that was conceived shortly before he took Netherfield.
    For a title:
    4. The Bingley Inheritance

  7. What a fun question! I would love to see a book that came from Jane Bingley's point of view. I think that would be a lot of fun! Book 4 could be titled "The Secret Adventures of Jane Bingley."

I have had the pleasure of reading book 1, but I have not read book 2, if I win I would choose that one. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity!
