A mystery. Wasn't expeceting that. However, it was a very interesting one that incorporates Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes with H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu. What a mix, eh?
Only thing that I'm mystified about is the emerald connection. Apparently, the title is a reference to the Sherlock Holmes novel A Study in Scarlet which I have not read. ergh, must read this for clarification and I don't have Sherlock Holmes in the house. must go book shopping. okay slated for the next read-a-thon...
