Description from publisher's site:
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies features the original text of Jane Austen’s beloved novel with all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie action. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton-and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers-and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead.
Complete with 20 illustrations in the style of C. E. Brock (the original illustrator of Pride and Prejudice), this insanely funny expanded edition will introduce Jane Austen’s classic novel to new legions of fans.
Zombification: a plague caused the unmentionables, a bite can turn you
Zombie mode: feral
My thoughts:
In-a-word: more
<-- I think I need this.
The teaser on the cover says Now with 30% more Zombies!
Seths says:
...And see one of the first copies of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Deluxe Heirloom Edition. It's bound in human skin!
(Not really, but it sounded better than leather-textured.)

Publisher's site says:
Just in time for the holidays, Quirk has prepared The Deluxe Heirloom Edition of the New York Times Best Seller Pride and Prejudice and Zombies featuring:
* A fancy 4C hardcover package that will endure for generations
* In addition to the illustrations in the first edition, the expanded version features 13 new full-color oil painting illustrations - depicting all of PPZ’s most memorable moments
* A special preface from author Seth Grahame-Smith in which he describes the writing of PPZ
* Best of all, The Deluxe Heirloom Edition features 30% MORE ZOMBIES! Seth has written pages and pages of all-new (and entirely gratuitous) ultra-violent zombie mahem. If you loved the premise and zombie action of the first book, you’ll love this expanded Deluxe Edition even more.
My thoughts (cont.):
Being an Austen fan, hands down I praise the original text. As for the zombie portion, I wanted more. More what you ask? Well, more mashup I guess to make it more of its own. So, I'm looking forward to the deluxe edition.
Entertainment-wise, I was entertained.
And, the illustrations were such a treat!
The martial arts skills that the Bennets acquired were like learning stitchery or musical skills of their time - no big deal for them. They took time out of the day to practice and sharpen their skills. Cool zombie hunters, I think. Loved the references to Master Liu this or Master Liu that - just like in kung fu movies.

I found that Elizabeth made a strong impression moreso than Mr. Darcy in this version of P&P. A sort of wonder woman, she was.
Oh, I just got to say poor Charlotte. Poor poor poor Charlotte. I did not like what became of her.
Extra tidbits:
The cover, by Doogie Horner, is a "zombification" of a painting of Marcia Fox by William Beechey.
Neat-0 to see before and after pictures, eh?
