by Martin Millar - my review
Description from the amazon:
While teenage werewolf Kalix MacRinnalch is being pursued through the streets of London by murderous hunters, her sister, the Werewolf Enchantress, is busy designing clothes for the Fire Queen.
Meanwhile, in the Scottish Highlands, the MacRinnalch Clan is plotting and feuding after the head of the clan suddenly dies intestate. As the court intrigue threatens to blow up into all-out civil war, the competing factions determine that Kalix is the swing vote necessary to assume leadership of the clan. Unfortunately, Kalix isn’t really into clan politics — laudanum’s more her thing.
Even more unfortunately, Kalix is the reason the head of the clan ended up dead, which is why she’s now on the lam in London. . .
This expansive tale of werewolves in the modern world — friendly werewolves, fashionista werewolves, troubled teenage werewolves, cross-dressing werewolves, werewolves of every sort — is hard-edged, hilarious, and utterly believable.

There are the books in the Dark Guardians series by Rachel Hawthorne. (Moonlight, Full Moon, Dark of the Moon, and Shadow of the Moon). It's an enjoyable young adult series. They are all told from a female's point of view.

Nevermind, you did mention that series...I just found it. :)

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Stray by Rachel Vincent is about a woman who is a werecat. Not quite werewolf, but still a shapeshifter. :)

I just got Eileen Wilks' first book in The World of the Lupi series. It's about a cop investigating a series of murders that appear to have been committed by a werewolf and she gets involved with a werewolf leader. I believe the characters continue throughout the series - there are 6 books, I believe.

I can't remember the title of the only book I can think of that you haven't mentioned, but it was a bad book anyway, so you're better of not knowing about it :-p
ReplyDeleteAren't there some werewolves in Prom Night Is Killing Me? Not sure...I just now Kindled it so when I get to it I will let you know...
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you mentioned these, and/or if they count, but how about Never Cry Werewolf and The Dark Divine? Both YA books out recently.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win this one. It looks fantastic.
I'm still new to reading werewolf stories, but I really liked Soulless by Gail Carriger. I know the heroine is not a werewolf, but her love interest is.

I don't think you mentioned the Nocturne City series by Caitlin Kittredge. The lead character is Luna Wilder, a werewolf and a police detective.
