Jane Austen's Classic Novel
with Blood-curdling Lycanthropy
by Jane Austen and Adam Rann
my review
Description from the amazon:
Beware the howls in the darkness and the light of the full moon. As the ever headstrong Ms. Emma Woodhouse schemes and plots as matchmaker, a dark and deadly terror descends upon Highbury.
A series of bestial murders fills the residents with fear as the ever mysterious Mr. Knightley leads a secret life, unknown to all, combating evils not of this Earth. Carnage and destruction reign throughout the land, and though the residents of Highbury try to attend to day-to-day matters as civilly as possible, each cannot help but wonder what lurks in the shadows and if it'll be coming for them next.

I haven't really read or watched an actual Jane Austen something lately (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is already over a year ago), but I did read 'Confessions of a Jane Austen addict' and 'Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict' and I watched 'Lost in Austen'. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI haven't read or watched any Jane Austen... maybe I ought to start here :)

Just discovered your blog via a search for info on "Emma and the Werewolves" (wondering if it's worth reading). Interesting combination of book themes. I have read all of Jane Austen's novels and several offshoots, most recently, "Austenland' by Shannon Hale. Also recently watched the TV series "Lost in Austen." Enjoyed both. By the way, Janeites might be interested to know that May is Austen Mania Month at http://www.cbc.ca/books/bookclub/

I've read most of Austen - Persuasion is next on my list.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that Emma is not one of my favourite characters - I'm hoping the addition of werewolves will improve her.
I recently saw the new adaptation of Sense and Sensibility. It wasn't bad but not much different from the Emma Thompson film except that it skipped over several minor but important characters.

I watched Sense & Sensibility about, oh, 6 weeks ago. Just finished Jane Slayre about 2 weeks ago. Emma is actually my favorite Austin book.
