I'm so excited to say. I got to see this movie over the weekend.
If you haven't read the book, no problem. This movie did a great job in capturing the essence of the story.
If you read the book and liked it (like me), then you will like the movie too!
Of course, I highly recommend reading the book. The book is written meticulously and in an engaging way.
Beware: the story itself is not pretty and there are violent scenes. However as I stated before, it is told well with an important message to reveal in regards to women.
The characters are fleshed out well in this mystery thriller setting. They are each presented as mysteries themselves. So you get mysteries within this mystery that are somewhat solved in the end.

Whatever you do, don't judge her by her appearance. There is more depth to her which is revealed as you read through the series.
Lisbeth rockssssssssss!
And you need to meet her...

I'm looking forward to the release of book 3, Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest, coming May 25, 2010.
Just spotted the The Millennium Trilogy hardcover set on sale at the amazon - also available May 25, 2010.

Oh My Gosh!!!! Another Stieg Larsson Fan?!?!? I am so very much in love with his writing I want to run jump into the middle of the warfare going on between his brother & father and his writing & forever partner so that book 4 can be released and the rumored additional books finished. His life reads like a James Bond movie! And to write the stories he did, you know he had to hold women in the highest regard. That's so cool you got to see the movie! I cannot wait to see it now!
ReplyDeleteI loved the book, but I'm not sure I'm strong enough to watch all the violence translated visually!
ReplyDeleteThis is a movie? Who knew? I have this book sitting on my shelf. I'm going to have to read it before I see the movie!
ReplyDeleteI am anal about reading the book before watching the movie, since I've ruined so many in previous years by not reading the book. I knew the movie came out, but still have an urge for the book more than the film. Still I want to see it too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting. I haven't read the book yet, but I've heard such good things. Maybe I'll wait and watch the movie first.
