Description from author's site:
After the death of her mother, eighteen year old Chloe Hawthorn is haunted by terrifying nighttime hallucinations. Determined to take control of her dreams, she uses them to find Shane Anderson, a charming and troubled musician whose online videos have been holding her in thrall. She finds him in the Dreamtime, sweating out heroin detox in a run-down rehab center.
Chloe sets out to find Shane in the waking world and discovers her dreams have been taking her into the past. Horrified, Chloe realizes Shane doesn't survive his addictions. In order to save him, Chloe must master her Australian mother's legacy — the secret of walking the Dreaming through time. But what price will Chloe pay for this Dreamwalk and will she save Shane only to lose him forever?
Read an excerpt of chapter one.
Quote to note:
In Australia, the aborigines sing the Songs that lead you through real time - they call it the One-Thing-After-Another time - the read world and real time.
- location 1048, chapter 7
Zombie sighting:
"Don't mind them," she said. "They're not real. They're zombies." I wasn't sure if she was talking about George and Rene or about the adults, but from the sarcasm in her voice, I decided she was talking about all of them.
- location 1566, chapter 10
My two-bits:

Whoa! a gem of a book that I can't stop thinking of - mostly of dreams and time travel.
Loved the incorporation of music.
Loved how the love relationship was handled and maturation that occurred.
I would love to see a film version made of this. Has a great potential of being a surreal and matrix/inception-like.
