by Mike Faricy
-thriller
At no surprise, dysfuntional PI Devlin Haskell falls in bed with his latest client. She's gone by the time he wakes and hasn't the foggiest notion that, from now on, he'll be dealing with the Russian mob.
Along the way he finds himself at odds with a Russian butcher, local police and an FBI task force investigating human trafficking. In the process of getting answers Dev washes up on the far side of the law.
He's shot, beaten, car bombed and used as a human shield, all in the name of justice, at least as he comes to see it.
An entertaining tale of rank ineptitude and one night stands. Russian Roulette is another fast paced tale from the master of the bizarre, Mike Faricy.

I do love me some dysfunctional PIs! In checking out Mike's FAQ, I had to laugh at the Minnesota love -- I work with a few Minnesotans and they all just love that state. Maybe it's all that Midwestern good natured-ness or something but...some place with that much snow is my idea of hell, but MN-ers love it!
ReplyDeleteI liked his truth is stranger than fiction, and that his work is based on a semblance of recent events.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the "number of favorite arresting officers."

I like how he admits to having characters in his novel based off of people he knows in read life. It makes me wonder if these people know about it and are proud, or if they're clueless, lol

I find it interesting that most of Mike's work is based on some semblance of a real event.
