As probably the only person who's been there (it was my place after all), I can attest that you have properly captured the desolation of the land. An impressive feat for 17 syllables!
ReplyDeleteWow. I am trying to picture the story behind your haiku! One wonderful aspect of poems like yours is that they begin with context and character all around them and we readers get to puzzle out the backstory on our own, imagining the worlds and people behind the poem. Thanks for that!
