On this warm summer day, Alice sits on her rocking chair on the wraparound porch.
She rocks to.
She rocks fro.
She rocks to.
She rocks...
And all the while she dreams of adventures.
When the sun is exactly overhead announcing the noon time hour, mmmm, yes, lunch time, a most dapper looking bunny scurries onto the porch and knocks on the front door in a hurried fashion.
Excuse me, sir, may I help you? Alice gets up from the rocking chair and approaches the bunny.
Indeed!
Sir is quite right!
I am Sir Dandy Bunny. (he tips his hat)
Are you by any chance a Miss Alice? said the bunny.
Yes, sir. Alice responds in the most polite and proper young lady-like-kind-of-way.
I have come to deliver this. Sir Dandy Bunny proceeds to deliver an elegant envelope with a flourish that consists balancing on his hind legs with very grand front paw gestures that make Alice quite dizzy to watch.
When the envelope is finally placed in Alice's hand, she breaks the seal and finds this note...
YOU aRe InviteD
to a most delightful
Mad TEA Party
June 25, 2011
Sir Dandy Bunny stands thumping his foot upon the porch for a reply.
hmmmm said Alice.
Sir Dandy Bunny scrunches his mouth and wriggles his nose.
haaaaaaaaaaa said Alice.
Sir Dandy Bunny twitches his whiskers about.
errrrrrmm, Sir Dandy Bunny.
I was in attendance of the tea party last year and had the grandest time with the fairies.
WE drank tea and played all day long.
BUT, the Hatter did not show.
Can he...
Will he...
Be there???
Just then Sir Dandy Bunny's watchpocket emits a most dreadful and a most annoying beep-screech-eeeeek alarm.
Sir Dandy Bunny pulls out his timepiece to turn off the most offending sound.
OH dear! I must dash! he tsks, he turns and he is gone before Alice could twirl, hop, say shoo-be-dee-shoo-be-doo and wink.
Alice looks down at the invitation and goes back to her rocking chair to ponder...
Will YOU be there?
