Love the title of that book. The interesting pause between 'Your' and 'Brains' is so expressive...and menacing.
ReplyDeleteI'm really rather terrible at poetry, so I'll pass on the haiku, but I'm going to post this on my blog.
Can't wait for Zombie week! I'm still trying to figure out what my own zombie week posts will include/entail. Thanks again for hosting!
Yeah, can't wait...I'll have to think about the haiku! And ditto to what celi.a said!
ReplyDeleteThe Zombie Dance, by Rhiannon Hart
ReplyDeleteA balletic lurch
Towards human flesh will quell
The hunger for brains.

ReplyDeleteGen Y warns about
The zombie apocalypse
But no on listens.
I'm twittering this!
I have been a zombie fantatic since I was a kid. The last zombie book I read was Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. The last zombie movie I watched was Dawn of the Dead (the remake). I hope this qualified as a post about zombies.
ReplyDeleteZombie Skin (a wonderful Haiku)
ReplyDeleterotting, putrid flesh
flaking off in pale strips

The worms ate my tongue

If vampires are snooty french wine-drinkers, then zombies are lusty Italians, devouring platefuls of pasta...
ReplyDeleteMy haiku:
Hard-shell resistance
Then, pop! Strong, dead flesh extracts
Brains, like soft-boiled egg
And my blog post.
Oh, FINE! I gave in and wrote a zombie haiku. :-) Everyone inspired me, and it was FUN. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in your draw. Thanks.
