I've been thinking of the Mad Men tv series and the upcoming Jane Bites Back book. Hee-haw, that'd be a super cool mashup!
Above is my depiction of Jane in the 60's (minus fangs) using the Mad Men creator. I can totally see her as part of the pool of working gals at Sterling Cooper. She'd be the mousy quiet type that smokes and drinks coffee like everyone else. The ad agency would be a perfect place for her to get juicy gossip and heavy drama for books that she ghostwrites at night and on weekends.

British Library Jane Austen Pocket Diary 2010
Description from amazon.com:
Like the desk diary, this pocket diary is based on the popular book Life in the Country, a celebration of Regency England published by the British Library in 2008. This book has the added advantage of being portable, allowing would-be writers and artists to take it anywhere to record their thoughts, compile a to-do list, sketch their surroundings, or any of a number of other activities — all in the stimulating presence of the brilliant English writer and her talented nephew.
