Sadly, my Valentines this year wasn't so hot. The guy I have been dating for over two years now gave me a one dollar lollipop. He promised to buy me Beverly Hills Chihuahuas 2 on dvd (since I adore my Chihuahuas). He didn't get it, since he 'had no money'. That is a lie, of course. Or a cop out. I know he has close to twenty thousand dollars put away. Oh, I know your dentist appointment and having to pay a small fund to get his taxes done (to get well over a thousand back) may have been irritating, but worth skipping my gift? Wow, if I did that whenever I was in a "money crunch" (his is NOT a money crunch, if ya ask me), he'd never get bday, Christmas, or Valentines day stuff from me.
What I wanted to get was something that showed he thought me more than worth a dollar. I don't need something expensive. Just cheap chocolate will make me happy. But I'd really like some more intimacy since we've been going out for over two years. Of course, video games are far more interesting than that.
I am bitter. But I hope you consider my entry. :)
What I want for my Valentine? Well, he already bought me what I want; a new watch! Yeay!

I didn't have a valentine this year, so I treated myself to a box of chocolates and they were delish! :)

Valentine's Day is like any other day for us. I would have liked good take-out, a decadent dessert(ice cream cake), and snuggling on the couch with a good movie.

I would love to get the coveted Blood Magic ARC for Valentine's Day.

I was given two volumes of out of print artbooks by a Japanese manga-ka I love (Fuyumi Soryo) by a male friend who I adore (but am not dating sadly) for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't sound romantic, but Fuyumi's manga series "Mars" is one of the most heart-breaking and bittersweet romances I've ever read. Plus "ES", which is downright torturous in how it treats love and sacrifice :sigh:
