Giveaway: Night of the Necromancer by Jelani Sims and Kyle West

Night of the Necromancer:
Can You Survive the Zombie Apocalypse (Volume 1)
by Jelani Sims and Kyle West

Behold: behind the door...

Description from the amazon:
Just hours ago, you were a student trying to survive college. Now, as zombies attempt to knock down your apartment door and eat you alive, you must ask yourself if you will survive the night. And, in order to get through this nightmare, you have to make all the right decisions.

Will you save your overbearing girlfriend, who just broke up with you hours before the zombies arrived? Will you trust the survivors you meet along the way? Will you retreat to the forest in an attempt to escape the undead hordes, or will you face your fear head- on and fight your way through the city?

If you are quick on your feet, you just might see another day. One wrong decision, and you’ll end up as a zombie food, or worse, a member of the undead.

  3. “What would I do if zombies attacked, RIGHT NOW, at my apartment?” It’s a thought I’m sure zombie lovers the world over have wondered – whether if they were attacked, whether they could survive." -- I admit it, I do this often. It invades my dreams. I'm always looking for possible exits, weak points, weapons, etc. I think I'm a bit obsessed.

  4. I liked this comment they made -

"The hassle of writing a choose-your-own-adventure piece was having to sometimes write the same scene two or three different times with varying outcomes."

  6. Omg - I've done that, too! lol
Looked around, like Kyle mentioned, and wondered what I would do if zombies attacked RIGHT THEN!
[Though I'm not sure if *wetting oneself* actually counts as a defense mechanism] :O

  8. I love how they purposely made the one character more and more annoying and yet still she was one of their favorite characters.

  9. I laughed when I read "This excites me because it’s kind of like being in the first wave of people that reintroduces a genre to a new generation of readers as well as bringing it back for the old." as I am one of the old that remembers them from the 80's they were awesome then and this sounds fab!

  13. I liked reading about their take on whether or not they think the Zombie Apocolypse will/will not happen and whether they think they'd survive it or not.

  14. "I definitely think the zombie apocalypse is coming. There are too many ways that it could happen. One highly plausible cause of the apocalypse could be human contact with cordyceps fungi." That's scary.... but I still love to read about zombies and watch them in movies, soooooo, I might be ready for this! LOL

  15. Something I found interesting would be how Kyle came up with the idea for this book: "The original idea came when I was just laying in bed, and had the thought of “What would I do if zombies attacked, RIGHT NOW, at my apartment?” "

  16. I like that it started small, like a blog post, but then grew into a book.
