Welcome to the first post for the Harry Potter re-watch party!
Let me start by saying that I love Harry Potter and most things related.
That being said, formal reviews for the movies are pointless because I enjoyed them all!
Tee-hee, so this is a Harry Potter movie love-fest ;-D
Instead, what I will do for the daily posts is pick out one thing (there are sooooooo many to choose from) that caught my fancy while re-watching.
Quickie storyline:
Somewhat ordinary unloved boy finds out he is a wizard when he gets invited to join a Witches and Wizards school on his 11th birthday. And so the story begins of his journey into becoming a hero.
Caught my fancy: Wands
Wand = magical instrument used for conjuring
I was intrigued with the scene in Mr Ollivander's Wand shop at Diagon Alley.
Ollivanders Wand Shop is a wand shop. It is owned by the Ollivander family and it was run by Mr. Ollivander. Ollivanders is known to be one of the finest wand shops in all of Europe. The main shop is located at Diagon Alley, but there is a smaller branch in Hogsmeade. -per Harry Potter Wiki
The idea that a wand selects its owner instead of vice verse is one thing that got me. And, the physical makeup of wands was another fascinating bit.
Take the quiz and find out which wand you are.
Here's me:
