Fairy tale and steampunk mashup works!
I have not read the original Grimm's tale so the story premise was new to me. However, the read was quite enjoyable as is.
The main character is Georgiana - George - who tinkers with cogs &etc. She is working on a mechanical bird when she is reminded to dress for a ball which happens to be held in a brightly decorated airship.
Like most fairy tales, there's some romance, a forest, a witch and a hero.
Fairy tale fans will love it!
