Beating the summer blogger slump- what are your tricks?
ReplyDeleteTake breaks! Take time off to do something you've wanted to do. Keep busy, so when you do sit down to blog, you'll be refreshed and ready.
One thing you have to do every summer is...
Take a vacation week and spend time with the hubby.
Summer Questions:
ReplyDelete1. Best Childhood memory is that every summer I would go up into the mountains and live with my aunt's family (no electricity and pump water) to live on her small farm. I grew up a girl in the 'Burbs so this was a treat- caring for the animals, working the orchard and garden, berry picking, spending all day outside far away from everything surrounded by mountain forests, streams, and big sky of stars at night.
2. Summer song- 'Summertime Blues' because its fun and nostalgic.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity, Velvet!

Yay! I haven't read any of those, but I would love to read The Fill In Boyfriend, Forbidden, The Kingdom Within and The Looney Experiment.
Summer By Summer would be a wonderful book to read this summer.
ReplyDelete1. My best childhood summer memory was when we drove to a lake in the country for a week with the family and fished, swam, enjoyed this simple and beautiful setting.
6. A song which is my favorite for summer is Palisades Park since i grew up in the 50's, pine for that era, appreciated those memorable songs and miss that time.
7. If I could hop on a plane I would go the a Florida beach which I love.
Thanks for this great feature, wonderful post and giveaway which is the best. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
7. If I could hop on a plane and go anywhere right now? I'm so torn....I would love to take advantage of a free trip and go someplace exotic/far away like ireland or africa. But I also have had a REALLY bad start to this summer...so a big part of me wants to go back east and see my friends.
ReplyDelete8. Summer date ideas? Out here? Anything involving air conditioning! lol. But seriously I have one that's really fun and romantic. I like to wait til it's finally dark out and then go to a local park or someplace were you can just look up and see the sky. There's lots of places near me where you don't have manmade light polution, so you can see ALL the stars. And since it's night time it's not 100 degrees, yet it's summer so it isn't freezing cold either.
Oh and I'd like to see any of the books in the box if I win! They all look great!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I would love to receive Forbidden.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you lie always reminds me of summer. During one of the best summers, that song was played a billion times.
I hope to read at least 5 more books by the end of the summer

4. This may sound stupid but I love Shrek! It's my favorite movie! I love to watch it in the summer
5. Play Softball
6. Everybody Talks by Neon Trees. The first time I heard it I was at the beach and that's what I think about when I hear it now
7. Well I've been to the beach in Florida and North Carolina several times, so I would want to go somewhere different. I have always wanted to go to Alaska to see the northern lights!

ReplyDelete7. If I could hop on a plane and go anywhere right now it'd be Paris. Even though I've been there there was so much more to explore. Plus, I want to relive the memories, the moments, and feel the excitement all over again.
