My two-bits:

The movie captured the book version very well. There were slight changes or rather tweaks that gave the movie its own uniqueness. And, it left me the same way the book did. Disgruntled - however, not in a bad way. Just in a way of making me really think of the importance of character likability of protagonists in general.

I should mention that I liked the book. The twists and turns and twists in the style of storytelling was refreshing and fun to come across.

The movie cast selected were spot on which was a nice surprise. I'm starting to become more of an Affleck fan.

Definitely lived up to the hype for me. Loved how this story explores marriage. The twists and turns and twists will have you spinning - like being on those fun wild carnival rides.

Gone Girl the film is set to be released in 2015.

Besides “Gone Girl,” Flynn has also written “Dark Places” and “Sharp Objects.” All three tomes are currently being adapted into feature films. She is also penning a pilot for HBO.

David Fincher is directing “Gone Girl” at Fox with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike set to star. Charlize Theron and Chloe Moretz are set to star in “Dark Places,” which is also set to go into production shortly. -per Variety
