The short list was announced on April 9 and it got me wanting to give the batch a go. This self-challenge is also a wonderful way to do some arm-chair traveling.

  1. I've read The Shape of The Ruins! Loved the second half after struggling with the first. That was due to my lack of Colombian history knowledge though.
I'm excited to spot Celestial Bodies here. It would be my first Oman-authored book for WorldReads so I need to get a copy :-)

  2. Just the fact that it's set in Oman makes me want to read Celestial Bodies. Actually, they all have points that draw me in. Enjoy your mini-challenge! :)
