Managed to get some reading done this week of short novels, magazines and graphic novels.

LOVED how this was done with its colors and soundtrack. Learned some behind the scenes stuff about comediennes.

STANDS up to the hype. Enjoyable film about interracial relationships particularly in regards to the Muslim religion.

Killing Gunther (2017)

LIKED the visuals. The story was okay. Reminded me a bit of Blade Runner.

INTERESTING peculiar characters. I liked the world building and curious to read the book for more details.

FOUND slithering zombies in this one. Little bit of campy, science, military and a plane load of zombies.

I did not get to watch all the Hallmark Christmas movies I had planned. But did find this SNL skit about the films in general amusing. Gotta love James Franco ;-)

  2. I think I might be finishing a couple of zombie books as January begins so they will be my first for 2018. I'll be reading mostly on the 31st so it'll be a nice quiet night!

  5. OMG those cookies look so good! My office had an ugly Christmas sweater party and I was kinda upset I didn't own an ugly Christmas sweater. I need to hunt one down now that Christmas is over and stores might have them 50% off. ;) Happy New Year, Velvet!

    Fun movie marathon. I was on an Agatha Christie kick this week so watched several older ones.

  7. Oh, I loved The Big Sick. My mom did too! I still need to see 50/50. I meant to when it was actually in theaters and then just...never did. haha

    I'm not sure what my first book of the year will be! I need to figure that out. Granted, I'm in the middle of one but if I don't finish that today, then that doesn't count as the first REAL book of the year.
