Happy St. Patrick's Day with Cecelia Ahern

CELEBRATE today with an Irish author!

Cecelia Ahern

I first encountered Cecelia with her debut novel, P.S. I Love You, back in 2004. Although I loved the book, I never got around to reading more of her work. Mostly because with my favorite authors, I take them for granted and figure that I could go back to them later. So, Cecelia got put on the good old backburner (kinda like the tbr pile). Also, authors on my backburner are those I know that if I pick up their book I will most likely insta-love.

After looking at Cecelia's bibliography, I was surprised at how much more she has written that I missed. Some of her works have also been adapted to film and tv. Today is prompting me to revisit this author. I most especially want to read her debut YA novel, Flawed which will be out in April :-)

A novel about holding on, letting go, and learning to love again.

Now in paperback, the endearing novel that captured readers' hearts and introduced a fresh new voice in women's fiction Cecelia Ahern.

Holly couldn't live without her husband Gerry, until the day she had to. They were the kind of young couple who could finish each other's sentences. When Gerry succumbs to a terminal illness and dies, 30-year-old Holly is set adrift, unable to pick up the pieces. But with the help of a series of letters her husband left her before he died and a little nudging from an eccentric assortment of family and friends, she learns to laugh, overcome her fears, and discover a world she never knew existed.

The kind of enchanting novel with cross-generational appeal that comes along once in a great while, PS, I Love You is a captivating love letter to the world!

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She's a model daughter and sister, she's well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she's dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.

But then Celestine encounters a situation where she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule. And now faces life-changing repercussions.

She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found FLAWED.

In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society where obedience is paramount and rebellion is punished. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her-everything.
