I visit all the blogs, I especially enjoyed Patrice Sarath and I leave this comment:
ReplyDeleteDear Miss Austen,
I love to hear your opinion of "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell. Another novel of very different time and style I would like to introduce you to is "My Orange-Lime Plant" by José Mauro de Vasconcelos, I'm sure that despite cultural differences, their eyes would fill with tears with this.
I wish you the happiest of birthdays in a heaven surrounded by friends and congratulations to all who celebrate it like a dear friend’s birthday.
In Jane Austen in Vermont, I comment:
My dear Miss Austen,
God bless you for your prodigious mind, for I could enjoy it more delicicosas hours with the most beloved books. What a pleasure to know you through your writings. What a delight and fascinating pleasure is travel every word, every phrase, every name so memorable.
Persuasion, this word sounds so harmonious in my ears. What sweet sentiments were able to create characters so sublimes?
If I were a book one of my chapters would be called Jane Austen.
Deeply grateful I wish you the happiest of birthdays in a heaven surrounded by friends.
And as birthday gift in some blogs I suggested:
For her birthday I would like to invite her to the movies. I want to see together, "Persuasion" 1995. I know I would be amazing to share that moment with her and I think she might like.
