HAPPY THINGS:
1. Pumpkin Almond Croissant from b.patisserie
2. Halloween themed puzzles. I ended up ordering Holly Carden's illustrated Edgar Allan Poe's Macabre Mansion and H.H. Holmes Murder Castle (details). Both are 1,000 pieces and have the added book theme vibe. With the Poe puzzle, I plan to listen to His Hideous Heart: 13 of Edgar Allan Poe's Most Unsettling Tales Reimagined edited by Dahlia Adler. With the H.H. Holmes, I will listen to a 3-episode series (episodes, 200-202) covering serial killer, H.H. Holmes, hosted by The Last Podcast on the Left. The puzzle creation was inspired by The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson which I read awhile ago.
3. Finding a leafy owl among the leaves.

Full of misgivings, a young woman travels with her new boyfriend to his parents' secluded farm. Upon arriving, she comes to question everything she thought she knew about him, and herself.
YEAH, not crazy about the ending. One of those "what the..." films. But, interested me enough to want to go and read the book version for more. As I'm on the wait list for it, I picked up another horror story, Foe, by Iain Reid.
