About the Author:
Mary Ann Shaffer who passed away in February 2008, worked as an editor, librarian, and in bookshops. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was her first novel.

Loved this feel-good book.

All the characters in this book are interesting and come with their own stories of the time period and the places mentioned.

Definitely an interesting way and quick way to read historical fiction. It certainly gives one pause to think of the letters received in the past. Would you be able to construct a story from them?

Most letters I have packed away are of my tween and teen years. I'm sure a YA novel of some sort is waiting to be created. Something heavy with 80s music, videos and tv. hmmmmm.
