AND watched: DVD
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Director/Writer: Emerald Fennell
Stars: Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie
Crime, Drama, Thriller | imdb | my rating: 5

A young woman, traumatized by a tragic event in her past, seeks out vengeance against those who crossed her path.

Ooo, vengeance. A dark heroine of sorts who brought the shivers.

The Invisibile Man (2020)
Director/Screenplay: Leigh Whannell
Stars: Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Harriet Dyer
Drama, Horror, Mystery | imdb | my rating: 5

When Cecilia's abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

Loved this new take on the invisible man. More shivers with this story.
