Holiday Dessert

What is one of your favorite holiday desserts?

Various freshly baked home-made xmas cookies with their various shapes, sizes and flavors top my list.

Magic Cookie Bars

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees F (325 degrees for glass dish).

Coat 13x9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.

Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press into bottom of prepared pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture.

Layer evenly with chocolate chips, coconut and nuts.

Press down firmly with a fork.

Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cut into bars or diamonds.

Store covered at room temperature.

  1. Those look so good. I am going to have to try them.

  2. Neat. Never had one of those before.

For me, my favorite Christmas dessert is still Nanaimo bars. The ones with the minty filling. I will never turn one of those down if they're homemade.

  3. So drooling on my keyboard right now! The cookie bars look delicious! And I love the Swedish chef!
Course this also reminds me I have to go bake Christmas cookies!

  4. Can I just say yum! I can't wait until next week when I officially take a break from my diet and start my holiday baking. YAY!

  5. Love the muppets. Ha! And those cookie bars do look awesome.

My favorites are my sister in law's peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. Yum!

  6. *drool* those magic cookie bars look soooooo good!! Thank goodness I had the foresight to (indefinitely)postpone any stupid diet ideas until after the holidays ;D
