The Nymph's Node, while once a reputable tavern is now a molding heap, that only the poor or the criminal visit. One of the local drunkards sits in a corner, gazing blankly into his empty stein. The sight of a young man weaving his way through the tawdry crowd carrying two full tankards of ale draws his eye.

The old man grins when the man slams the cups onto the table.

“Here’s your drink old man, now tell me what I want to know!” The man snarls.

“Wha’ now? Can nah man enjoy his drink?” he replies with a cheeky grin.

“Tell. Me. Now!”

“Okay, me lad, I’ll tell ye. This book ye be lookin' fer ain't somethin' th' fool hardy best be goin' after. That bein' said, th' book be ancient 'n no one knows who wrote it. 'Tis said that ….”

“I don’t care about that, just want to know where to find it!” The man slams his fist on the table, sending his cup to the floor.

The old man looks down at the puddle with a look of unmasked horror and quickly shields his own drink before answering.

“Alright, 'tis said t' be on a phantom island off th' coast o' Ireland 'n Newfoundland, well in b'tween 'em anyways, called “Illa de Brasil”. 'Tis visible once every seven years, 'n th' last time I heard o' it bein' seen was nigh-on seven years ago.”

“Thank you kindly old man, here is the gold I promised,” at this he threw a money pouch with a loud thud onto the table, “and now I bid you fare-well. I plan on making Pirateology mine, the amount of wealth and power that book can give me is astounding.” He turns in a harried manner and starts to make his way to the door. The old man makes one final attempt at talking the young man out of his foolish venture.

“Wait! Come back lad. Ye needs t' know wha' ye'll be facin' on that island.” But the man just waves him off and rushes out the door. “Stupid lad, those black spotted pirates will get 'im. Once he sees th' dead he'll be sorry. Oh well, 'tis his life,” with that he picks up his ale and drinks it with a smile.
